In his recent work a new dimension is developed allowing the
identification for a work more critical view nearly
iconoclast.
A look at the powers governing the human condition through the
prism of a quirky humor, sometimes scathing. Work embodied in
multiple mediums to serve his vision of the world, even on its misunderstanding of the nature of things.
Rohan Graeffly est un artiste pluridisciplinaire, qui travaille non seulement sur
l’image (fixe ou en mouvement), l’objet, mais également sur le son ou le texte. Ses
oeuvres, il les installe. Il faut dire que son travail, quelle que soit la forme qu’il
prend, poursuit la plupart du temps une même idée: celle de l’identité et du
souvenir. Les réalisations sont donc en quelque sorte liées les unes aux autres.
Dans ses travaux récents une toute autre dimension est développée laissant l’identité
pour une oeuvre plus critique voir iconoclaste.
Un regard sur les pouvoirs régissant la condition humaine au travers du prisme
d’un humour décalé, parfois grinçant. Des travaux incarnés en des médiums
multiples pour servir sa vision du monde et de son quotidien, même de son
incompréhension de l’ordre des choses.
